creativity and arts for life...

I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to get funding to do something positive in your
community as a self-
This is how, along with my friend Hetty Chapman (a talented community and public artist), and Lyndsay Flannigan (a master of accounts) we decided to set up a social enterprise through which we could legitimately apply for funding for community arts projects.
In September 2003 Think Make Grow Ltd was legally established and has since contracted
more than 35 artists to deliver participatory arts projects with over 60 community
groups in North East England and the Scottish Borders.
Art forms used have included: drama; watercolours; sketching; animation; photography; lyric and music writing; music recording and production; mask making; jewellery making; junk sculpture; samba; African drumming; costume design and making; ceramics; storytelling; creative writing; puppet making and performance; sea glass crafts; batik; screen printing etc.
This huge range of arts is not because we are jack of all trades and average at everything, but because we have a network of more than 50 artists available to deliver projects in their specialist art form.
